Shopify Revenue Isn’t Profit

Revenue is only the starting point. A Shopify profit calculator should account for product cost, shipping, Shopify fees, payment processing, ad spend, refunds and other expenses before showing true profit.

Frequently Asked
Questions

Got questions? Here are the most common things people want to know about SellerProfitForge.

1Is the Shopify Profit Calculator free to use?

Yes. The Shopify profit calculator is completely free, with no login or credit card required.

2What Shopify fees are included in the calculation?

Configurable plan presets estimate payment processing fees. Shopify transaction fees are added only when an external payment provider is selected. Add allocated subscription costs under Other Cost.

3How is Shopify profit margin calculated?

Shopify profit margin is net profit divided by revenue, multiplied by 100. Net profit subtracts product costs, shipping, ads, fees, expected refunds and other costs.

4Does the calculator include payment processing fees?

Yes. Each plan preset includes a percentage fee plus a fixed fee per order. These are planning estimates; verify the rate for your country and payment setup.

5Can I include ad spend and refunds?

Yes. Enter advertising cost per order and your expected refund rate. Refund cost is estimated as selling price multiplied by the refund rate.

6Can I analyze multiple products or my entire Shopify store?

The free calculator models one order at a time. The CSV analyzer currently shows a clearly labeled demo; real store analysis is planned.

7What is the difference between revenue and net profit?

Revenue is what customers pay. Shopify net profit is what remains after product costs, shipping, fees, ads, refunds and other expenses.

8How is the Profit Analyzer different from the free calculator?

The calculator estimates a single order. The planned Profit Analyzer will review products across a CSV export and highlight low margins, refund impact and profit leaks.
